In 2001, the employees at the Etch-A-Sketch plant in Byran, Ohio, trained the Chinese workers who would soon relieve them of their duties. When Etch-A-Sketch was first released 45 years ago, it was priced at $3.99. That price adjusted for inflation would be $23.69 today. So even at twice the price it is still cheaper now.
